I am not pleased with Creative Labs customer service.
I asked Creative Labs: "Are the Creative Stage Air USB socket and cable USB2 or USB3?".
A Creative Labs representative responded: "Regarding your enquiry about the Stage Air, do you mind clarifying the reason of your request?
USB is a backward-compatible standard and USB Audio does not require USB3 to work at its best."
I responded: "I appreciate the information given but i would like to have an answer to my question without explaining why i asked."
The Creative Labs representative responded: "What you are asking does not impact the usage of the device as Creative meant, therefore this detail has no value to the every day usage.
We'll however be happy to check for you with the interested team on this should you decide to provide the reason for which you are specifically looking for this detail."
Needless to say i am not pleased with Creative Labs customer service.
Whilst this isn't a star rating for the Creative Stage Air product i might as well mention that the Creative Stage Air is not too bad, but not good either.

unethical way of doing business
Bought BT-W3 directly from creative website in February 2022, Damaged BT-W3 original box and contents were intentionally packed in a parcel. The parcel arrived in the good condition but not the contents. Do you think this is the ethical way of doing business?

Creative labs updated the android sound…
Creative labs updated the android sound blaster central app such that it crashes on launch. When I contacted them for support they annouce they have no plans for further development. Look at the real reviews in the play store. Spend your money elsewhere.

Bad product quality
Bought Creative Outliers Air (first edition) thourgh their online store and I had to request a replacement due to frequent connection and disconnection problems. An year of use of the replacement after, same problems persists, plus the button cover came out. The replacement is not on warranty anymore, even tough it had just a year of life. Stay away from this brand

first card ae-9 £260 card started to crackle then went dead for over an hour. looked fine in windows even showing working sound graph but no sound. sent for refund 3 weeks processing. order again now in for over £500 this new card arrived with a scratched front on audio connect device. don't think customer service care after my chat with them. has taken 24 hours each reply and then do not really get anywhere. who ever is running this company wants a rocket. 30 day none quibble is not honoured. even when issue reported within 2 hrs.

This is the usual ponzi scheme
This is the usual ponzi scheme, nothing good about it, they always ask money to cover what you are gaining, if you are lucky, like me, you can barely recover your money

I could live with how bad Creative Labs…
I could live with how bad Creative Labs service is. It has been bad for a while. They always made such good gear. Not so much anymore. My latest purchase was a pair of outlier air V2. They will probably be my last purchase. I'm ok with the mediocre sound quality. Could get over their bloated software that still isn't working correctly. I cannot forgive that interface. The touch sensitive buttons never seem to function the same way twice. Almost impossible to take calls. God forbid you want to listen to the previous track. Oh, and just try to shut that music off when your boss asks a question. Creative Labs is no longer a good option at a good price. Shame, I have been buying from them for a long time. Guess Jabra is who I will call next
Wimpy Creative Gigaworks T20…
I ordered the Creative Gigaworks T20 based on the positive reviews. The sound is hardly any louder than my laptop speakers, and there was no difference when I added the bass. While they claim "satisfaction is guaranteed", I must pay return shipping and be charged a $30 "non refundable minimum service fee", that was not at all mentioned on the website. I wish I had visited Trustpilot first.

Sound Blaster Audigy FX PCIe 5.1
Audigy FX PCIe 5.1 sound card does not work in Windows 10 build 21H1. I bought this card to replace my Asus Xonar 5.1 PCIe sound card which died. Being a computer support person I could not get the card to work. Two hour wasted with reading forums. First PCIe slot detected but software would not install. Second PCIe slot detected and software installs and restarts. Then the shocker still not detected for use. Finally, gave up and after three years enabled my Realtek onboard audio which did two updates and not only works now has an audio console much like the Asus and Creative software but much limited to features.
Creative needs to stop stating works in Windows 10 because it only works depending on the version of Windows one is on.
Also to note when Windows 10 does an update be ready for your Creative sound card to stop working.
Side note: The Asus sound card worked no matter how many time Windows 10 updated or regardless of version.
Another note: I think the only Creative Sound cards that truly work in Windows 10 are the higher models starting at $100 dollars and up which creative keeps updating drivers for.
Beware if you buy the older sound cards that are still made and supported (so creative states). They will likely only work in Windows 10 in older build versions.
Soundblaster G3
This is the first ever product I've bought from Creative and I'm extremely satisfied with the product.
Soundblaster G3 portable amplifier is an amazing product. I game a lot on console (PS4) and I've started to get really annoyed with the quality of gaming headsets and wanted to try a proper headphone. The only issue with that is, headphones are too powerful and the PS4 controller simply doesn't have enough power to support professional headphones.
So I bought the Soundblaster G3 to amplify the headphones and OMG this thing is superb. It literally brought out all the life and characteristics of the headphone.
What's even more amazing is, unlike most other amplifiers/DACs, the G3 has a phone application/software where you plug in the G3 in you phone via the USB C connection and you can infinitely customise the G3, sync all your customisations to the amp, plug back into the PS4 and wow the headphones are even better.
Proper EQ customisation on the go and so simple to operate.

Bought a pair of Inspire T10 computer…
Bought a pair of Inspire T10 computer desktop speakers direct from Creative Labs store. They seemed to get good reviews and they were on sale. When I got them and hooked them up I noticed after a short time the LED would go out as if they lost power. Apparently they go into a standby mode after 10 minutes. I guess all of the Creative speakers do this to meet some sort of power saving standard. When they don't detect a audio signal they essentially go to sleep until they detect a signal again. These speakers draw about 10 watts max and why any company feels the need to make them sleep to save power and inconvenience the user just seems dumb. It apparently is so frustrating to some that they have created scripts on their PC to send a signal to the speakers to prevent them from sleeping. Well needless to say I will be buying some other speakers that stay on until I turn them off.
